I can explain my work easily when someone asks me about it, but putting those same thoughts into a resume is surprisingly hard. I either make everything sound too simple or add way too many details. A friend suggested I hire a professional resume writer. Has anyone tried this after struggling with their own resume? Did the writer ask useful questions about your experience? I am curious whether they can find strengths that you might overlook yourself. Any personal experience would be helpful before I decide what to do.
